World Travel Awards: Ποιες ελληνικές επιχειρήσεις και προορισμοί διεκδικούν τα Όσκαρ του τουρισμού για το 2019

Με δεκάδες υψηφιότητες εκπροσωπείται η Ελλάδα στη μακροσκελή λίστα υποψηφίων για το ευρωπαϊκό σκέλος των World Travel Awards 2019, εν όψει της 26ης ετήσιας απονομής των βραβείων. 

Τα World Travel Awards, τα οποία θεωρούνται τα Όσκαρ της τουριστικής βιομηχανίας, δημιουργήθηκαν το 1993 και προσφέρουν αναγνώριση αριστείας σε προορισμούς, ξενοδοχεία, τουριστικά γραφεία, οργανισμούς διαχείρισης προορισμού και άλλες τουριστικές επιχειρήσεις.

Κάθε χρόνο, τα World Travel Awards πραγματοποιούν μια σειρά τοπικών εκδηλώσεων γκαλά σε προορισμούς σε όλο τον κόσμο (Grand Tour) προκειμένου να απονέμουν τιμητικές διακρίσεις σε κάθε ήπειρο, ενώ στο τέλος κάθε χρονιάς πραγματοποιείται ο μεγάλος τελικός, Grand Final.

Το 2019 το Grand Tour τοπικών γκαλά των World Travel Awards περιλαμβάνει τη Μαδέρα της Πορτογαλίας για την Ευρώπη, τη Τζαμάικα για τη Β. Αμερική και Καραϊβική, το Άμπου Ντάμπι για τη Μ. Ανατολή, το Μαυρίκιο για την Αφρική και τον Ινδικό Ωκεανό, το Λα Παζ για τη Λατινική Αμερική και το Phu Quoc για την Ασία & Ωκεανία. Οι τοπικοί νικητές στη συνέχεια συναγωνίζονται στις κατηγορίες τους σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα. Οι νικητές θα ανακοινωθούν κατά την τελετή Grand Final που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στη Μουσκάτ το Νοέμβριο του 2019.
