Celestyal Discovery: Back on Cruises After Renovation with New Cabins and Suites

Celestyal Discovery has returned to active service with increased capacity and new luxurious accommodation options, following a major renovation that took place in Athens over the winter.

The renovation of the 1,360-passenger cruise ship added 47 new cabins, increasing its total capacity by 7.4%. These include 32 upgraded suites, which enhance the premium offering by 52%, as well as 15 interior Cosmos cabins.

The two new suite categories include 30 Junior Dream Suites, which feature an interior space of 25 sq m and a balcony, as well as two Grand Horizon Suites, measuring 42 sq m and with a balcony, located above the bridge.

The ship also features a new restaurant, Smoked Olive, similar to that on Celestyal Journey. Guests can enjoy complimentary meals, while an a la carte menu is also available for an additional fee.

Celestyal Discovery embarked on her first three-day voyage after the renovation on March 21, kicking off the 2025 cruise season in Greece and the Mediterranean.

Iconic Greek Islands Cruises from Piraeus

The ship will sail three- and four-day cruises to the Iconic Greek Islands from Athens (Piraeus port) from March to November. Destinations include Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Rhodes, and Santorini, with rates starting at £299 for a Cosmos inside cabin, £889 for a Junior Dream Suite, and £1,099 for a Grand Horizon Suite.
