Royal Caribbean International | Cruises from Piraeus in the summer of 2025

The cruise industry continues to choose Greece as one of the top destinations in the Mediterranean, especially the Eastern Mediterranean. Piraeus is homeporting for a Royal Caribbean International cruise ship this summer.
Royal Caribbean International, one of the leading groups in the cruise industry, chooses Greece as homeporting and in particular for the cruise ship Brilliance of The Seas which will depart from the port of Piraeus this summer.
Brilliance of the Seas will offer weekly departures from and to Piraeus, from May 23 to August 8, and will make 7-night cruises to Greek ports, such as Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes, while also calling at ports in Turkey and Cyprus (Ephesus, Bodrum, Istanbul, and Limassol).
Brilliance of the Seas belongs to the Radiance class, has a gross tonnage of 90,090 tons, 13 decks, and a length of 293 meters. It can accommodate 2,142 passengers in double cabins with comfort and luxury.
Royal Caribbean in the Western Mediterranean
In the summer of 2025, Royal Caribbean International continues to invest in Greece, as some of the itineraries of the cruise ship Voyager of the Seas, which will offer cruises in the Western Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea, will begin or end in Piraeus. Others will begin from Ravenna, Italy. Voyager of the Seas belongs to the Voyager class, has a gross tonnage of 137,276 tons, 15 decks, and a length of 311 meters. It can accommodate 3,600 passengers in double cabins with comfort and luxury.
The Western Mediterranean will also host the Allure of the Seas, which will be renovated and will include all the features that make Royal Caribbean International ships impressive and innovative. Guests can enjoy exciting new activities such as Ultimate Abyss and The Perfect Storm, relax on the redesigned resort-style pool deck, and choose from top culinary experiences. All this is combined with visits to the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean. Allure of the Seas will depart from Barcelona or Civitavecchia and will cruise 7-nights in France, Italy, and Spain.
In the summer of 2025, Icon of the Seas (pictured), one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced cruise ships, which is celebrating its first year of operation, will be in the Caribbean and will make weekly cruises in the Western and Eastern Caribbean with a departure port of Miami. Icon of the Seas has a gross tonnage of 250,800 tons, is 365 meters long, has 18 decks, and can accommodate up to 7,514 passengers.
New cruise ship - Star of the Seas
In August 2025, the second ship in the Icon class, Star of the Seas, will be an unprecedented combination of the best elements of a vacation. On Star of The Seas, every family and every adventurer will find their own version of the ultimate family vacation.
Star of The Seas is being built at the Meyer Turku shipyards in Finland, will have a gross tonnage of 250,800 tons and will now be the largest cruise ship in the world along with Icon of The Seas since it will also be 365 meters long. The ship will have 20 decks and can accommodate up to 7,514 people.
Star of the Seas will begin its maiden voyage in August 2025 and will sail year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida, offering 7-night cruises alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean, visiting destinations such as Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya in Mexico, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, and of course Royal Caribbean's own island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Alaska will host 4 ships for breathtaking glacier adventures, while in Asia, 3 ships will cover exotic destinations such as Japan and Southeast Asia. In Australia and New Zealand, 4 ships will offer Southern Hemisphere voyages, while 3 ships from the West Coast of the United States will sail to Mexico and Hawaii, offering a unique experience in every corner of the world.
