Aegean Airlines expands direct flights between Thessaloniki and Kalamata in Greece

Aegean Airlines has increased its direct flights from Thessaloniki to Kalamata due to high demand from business professionals, students, and tourists from Northern Greece and the Peloponnese, ANA reports.
This was announced during an event hosted by the municipality of Kalamata at a hotel in Thessaloniki. The airline will now offer three direct flights during the winter months, up from two and five during the summer up from three. Aegean’s head of operations Irene Sidiropoulou noted that 23,000 seats will be available for this route in 2025.
Since the connection kicked off in 2010, strong ties have formed between the two cities, said Kalamata Mayor Athanasios Vasilopoulos. The flights make it easier for students to choose Thessaloniki for their studies and have encouraged business investments and tourism from Northern Greece.
