May Day strikes in Greece: Public transportation disruptions and Syntagma Metro station closure

Public transport workers will participate in the strikes that will take place on May 1 (Holy Wednesday) with stoppages, ANA reports.
Transport workers demand collective deals with real wage increases, the recruitment of permanent staff to fill all vacancies and the abolition of all anti-labor provisions.

Metro and tram
The Athens Metro lines 1, 2, and 3 (including the electric train) and trams will not operate on Wednesday, while ships will also remain docked, as announced on April 24. Specifically, metro lines 1, 2, and 3 will operate from 09:30 in the morning until 16:30. 
By order of the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the Syntagma Metro station will remain closed on May Day from 9:30 in the morning until further notice. Trains will pass through it without stopping.
The Metro schedules to and from the airport will operate normally between 09:30 and 16:30. The tram will operate from 09:00 until 21:00.

Buses
Labor unions representing the Athens Urban Transport Organisation (OASA) and the Union of Workers in Electric Buses of Athens and Piraeus Area (ILPAP) have declared they will participate by operating only from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Wednesday. 
Specifically, city buses and trolleys will be on strike from the beginning of the shift until 09:00 in the morning and again from 21:00 until the end of the shift. It is expected that intercity bus services (KTEL) will carry out their regular schedules during this time, while the urban railway (proastiakos) and intercity train schedules will also be affected.

Trains
The Panhellenic Federation of Railway and Fixed Track Transport Workers unanimously decided to participate in the 24-hour nationwide strike. There will be suspensions and modifications to the schedules across the entire network, while some services will  with skeleton staff.
