New Marina brings "Monte Carlo aura" to Rhodes

New Marina brings "Monte Carlo aura" to RhodesAn area that traditionally welcomes yachting and luxury boat enthusiasts from all over the world

The additional facilities at the Rhodes Marina will be modeled after the infrastructures of iconic marinas abroad, giving it a Monte Carlo feel - an area that traditionally welcomes yachting and luxury boat enthusiasts from all over the world.

Recently, in fact, by a joint decision of the Ministers of Environment and Energy, Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis and Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, the decision on the zoning and environmental conditions of the Marina was amended.

But what is the final image that the modern Rhodes Marina will present, on an island that is a top tourist destination in our country? Let's take a look at the future.

Luxury residences, hotels and shops

In an area located in the southern part of the Marina, the multi-story buildings with their characteristic architecture are impressive. These buildings are to house luxury apartments, shops, and hotel facilities, which are expected to offer travelers moments of unparalleled relaxation, within a luxurious environment. The buildings will also have a two-story underground parking space, thus facilitating the unhindered mobility of visitors.

In fact, these multi-story buildings have been placed in such a way in the area, as to ensure a view of all neighboring buildings, which of course are located at a great distance from them.

On the western side of the area, which is the boundary of the Marina, the design comes into contact with the perimeter road of the city of Rhodes. The elevation of the road on the side where it borders the specific area of the Marina is 6.50 to 7 meters. Correspondingly, on the eastern side of the area, the leeward pier rises 7 meters high. This height is important because it will also be used to create green spaces, promenades, and sports activities, creating another attractive point for travelers. Important is the fact that there will also be an arch-shaped swimming pool here, the chord of which is placed parallel to the seafront, creating a sense of continuity with the sea, something that is always welcome in the eyes of travelers.

At the same time, on the facade of the parking area towards the Marina, there will be a series of shops to serve the needs of boats, such as agents, maintenance, mooring and operating materials, as well as other shops.

In the second section, located immediately after the main entrance, all the buildings required for the operation and administration of the Marina have been constructed. Also, all the planned and necessary public services of the marina are housed in the same area.

Commercial parks and hotels create an unforgettable accommodation and shopping hub

In the center of the Marina, the third section is located in the commercial zone, which includes residences and a hotel on an area of 20,000 sq m, in two-story buildings separated by sheltered covered sidewalks. Among other things, this area includes commercial stores, restaurants, cafes, and service offices, creating one of the most “lively” spots in the Marina. Behind the commercial zone, there is a four-story complex with hotel use on an area of 7,200 sq m. In contact with the commercial zone on its northern side, visitors are welcomed by a four-story, coastal building, on an area of 5,600 sq m. This building is used as a hotel, while shops will operate on the ground floor, thus creating an excellent accommodation and shopping hub.

Breathtaking Luxury Villas

Continuing our walk through the new, ultra-modern Marina of Rhodes, we arrive at its fourth section, where the luxury villas are located. The beautiful cluster is created between the road that crosses the marina and the eastern beach, on a huge area of 11,400 sq m. All the villas are open-plan, with spacious interiors, lush gardens, and private swimming pools, while all areas have the coveted sea view. In an area of approximately 3,500 sq m., behind the villas, luxurious two-story maisonettes are found. Also, at the northern end of the Marina, four-story buildings are being created that are used as a hotel and residence, on an area of approximately 3,000 sq m.

The perfect beach for endless walks

This exceptional plan could not fail to include the "queen" of summer trips, which is none other than the beach. Here, the 15-meter-wide paved walkway allows for comfortable movement of visitors along its entire length, offering ideal moments of fun and socializing. It is impressive that these nine acres embrace the entire marina beach.

Alongside the walkway, between it and the sea, a corridor with an elevation difference of 0.80 meters is formed, where only the Marina's electric cars are allowed to move to service the boats, maintenance crews, as well as the employees responsible for the docking and safety of the boats. Access to this corridor is via an access control system and a closed monitoring system, for complete control and safety of the port.

Waterfront and helipad for easy access

Another design advantage of the Marina is that its visitors can reach it by flying, either by helicopter, which is preferred by international jet-set travelers, or by seaplane, a means that has become very popular. Thus, access to one of the best Marinas in the Mediterranean becomes even easier.

In detail, the waterfront and seaplane parking area is located in the marine area of the Marina, parallel to the leeward pier of the second phase. For the needs of the waterfront, the construction of a floating pier perpendicular to the north side is planned, while to serve its passengers, a reception building with the necessary functions is being constructed.

Furthermore, to the east, there is a helicopter landing and take-off area, which will operate exclusively for the needs of the Marina.

The new Rhodes Marina promises to offer an experience that combines luxury with functionality, making it a top destination for travelers and yachting enthusiasts. With its modern infrastructure and impressive design, it is undoubtedly an important pillar of development for Rhodes, strengthening its position as an international tourist center.
