Airbnb services are subject to strict quality control, based on the expertise and reputation of the hosts who offer them. These professionals have, on average, ten years of experience, have completed the Airbnb identity verification process, and provide the necessary licenses and certifications.

The most popular service categories include:

• personalized meals by a chef,
• professional photography,
• massage,
• treatments,
• personal training,
• hair, makeup, manicures, pedicures, and catering services with customized menus.

Airbnb is introducing new, authentic experiences hosted by local hosts in cities around the world, designed to bring guests closer to the culture and lifestyle of each place. From sightseeing and cultural tours to food, art, and nature, Airbnb Experiences cover a wide range of interests. With options that include additional wellness, fitness, and fashion programs, guests can explore their place through the eyes of the people who know it best.

Airbnb Experiences are designed to encourage people-to-people connections. Soon, you’ll be able to see who else is joining you before you book, message the group or another guest you’re sharing the same experience with, and stay in touch with them after your stay—all with simple, transparent privacy controls. You don’t have to be in a travel destination to take part. We think Airbnb experiences are so great that you’ll want to book them in your own city.

The all-new Airbnb app

With the launch of Services and Experiences, we’ve redesigned the app from the ground up. Now you can easily book places, services, and experiences. When you arrive at your destination, the app greets you with a detailed itinerary, including your arrival details and all your Airbnb bookings for the day. You’ll also get suggestions for nearby experiences throughout your stay.

The Explore tab features a revamped home page for discovering places, experiences, and services in popular destinations. Trips now acts as a complete travel itinerary with all the relevant details for bookings, services, and experiences. The “Messages” exchange function has been improved with the ability to share photos, videos, and integrated payments, while the new “Profile” allows users to showcase their trips and acquaintances through the platform, with an emphasis on security through identity verification.

We’ve also redesigned the app for hosts to include everything they need to manage their home, service, or experience. With a simplified listing creation tool, “Getting Started on Airbnb” now makes it easier for hosts to submit a service or experience to Airbnb. The new “Today” tab allows for immediate tracking and management of reservations, while the updated “Calendar” with integration with Google Calendar offers a new daily view with an hourly schedule. In addition, new tools in the “Listings” tab for services and experiences allow for greater flexibility and control in configuring each service provided.
