ASTA The American Society of Travel Advisors’ is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. George Paliouras as Greece Chapter President. 

Mr. Paliouras was an instrumental part of the FedHatta organizing team that worked with ASTA for their successful recently concluded 2018 ASTA Destination Expo in Athens.

“George has the necessary expertise, leadership quality and industry connections to make our Greece Chapter one of the most successful in the world”, quotes Bob Duglin, ASTA Vice President, International Membership & Expansion.  He further goes on to say, “As the Greek recovery continues, we realize that U.S. travel advisors can play a key role in working with their Hellenic counterparts in growing the number of inbound visitors from the United States to Greece”.

Member of the Board of Directors and General Commissioner of the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies in Greece (HATTA), member of the board, responsible for strategic development and communication, of the Federation of Greek Travel and Travel Agencies Associations (FedHATTA), representative to the National Cruise Steering Committee of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, George Paliouras is the Business Development Manager of Rhapsody Travel in Greece.

With a strong 25 year background in sales, marketing, and management of Greek cruise lines and tour operators, focused on the cruise and travel business of the Mediterranean, paired with a continuous involvement as board member with Greek tourism associations and committees George has deep knowledge of the Greek and international markets and the opportunity to build strong relations between the Greek Chapter members and the thousands international members of ASTA.
