TUI Socca Champions League 2025 in Rethymno

From October 16 to 20, Rethymno will host the TUI Socca Champions League 2025, the largest inter-club event of the sport in the world, at the iconic Sochora stadium. The tournament returns to Crete with a new, more attractive and competitive format, promising even more intensity and spectacle for fans and visitors.

More than 100 teams from 40 countries and five continents will be divided into three “paths”:

The Champions Path, where top teams, champions and runners-up of countries participate.
The Contracts Path, for strong clubs with commercial weight that claim the title through several rounds.
The Conference path, which offers a second chance to eliminated teams, as well as to Greek clubs that did not secure a place in the first two groups, claiming a parallel title.
After the group stage, the competition will culminate in knockout matches, offering high-level matches.

Greece, thanks to its 8th place in the international ranking and home advantage, will have an increased presence in this year's competition, both with teams through wild cards and in the Conference path. The official entries will be announced in mid-September by Socca International, when the draw will take place.

The TUI Socca Champions League, which has been assigned to Rethymno for three years (2024-2026), has already elevated the city to an international sports and tourist destination, combining the passion of small-sided football with the hospitality and cultural identity of Crete.

A few days later, on October 21 and 22, Rethymno will host the SOCCA Aegean Cup, with the participation of four national men's teams and four national women's teams, continuing the celebration of the sport.

The two events are held under the auspices of the International Socca Federation, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourist Organization, the Region of Crete, the Regional Unit of Rethymno, the Municipality of Rethymno and the Salas Sports Association.
