Jet2 and Jet2holidays raise capacity to Greece adding three new routes to 2023
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have continued to strengthen their position as the UK’s leading airline and tour operator to Greece by expanding their 2023 programme even further – thanks to the addition of new routes and extended seasons.
Following a hugely successful Summer 22 – which saw the companies operate their biggest ever programme to Greece without making a single cancellation – Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have put an even bigger Summer 23 programme on sale.
This enormous programme includes:
15 destinations available including three brand new routes (Bristol-Chania, East Midlands-Santorini and London Stansted-Athens)
Summer 23 capacity increase with 1.3 million arriving seats on sale
Athens becoming a year-round destination
Extended seasons including Easter flights added to Rhodes and Halkidiki. The company will start flying to Rhodes from 2nd April and into November, as well as adding flights to Halkidiki from 1st April 2023.
Increased frequency to destinations such as Corfu, Rhodes and Skiathos.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, is in Greece this week to meet hoteliers, industry representatives and the Government to detail these growth plans, as well as Jet2’s continued commitment to Greece. He will visit Corfu, Zante, Chania, Heraklion, Rhodes and Kos to highlight how Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is continuing to grow long-term partnerships with hoteliers and the industry in Greece.
He will highlight Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' award-winning customer service which has seen the companies win multiple awards including Which? Travel Brand of the Year, as well as a partnership approach which sees Jet2 invest in marketing both its own brand as well as hoteliers’ brands.
He will also talk about Jet2’s Net Zero Strategy, which is seeing the company put sustainability at every stage in the journey – On the Ground, In Resort and In The Air.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “As the UK’s leading airline and tour operator to Greece, we have responded to continued demand for Greek holidays from UK holidaymakers by providing them with the holiday choices that they want and growing our programme to Greece even further. We have continued to invest heavily in Greece, and the fantastic partnerships we have in place are central to our continued success. I am looking forward to meeting current and future partners and telling them all about our award-winning business, how we have expanded enormously in Greece and how we are here to stay, building long-term partnerships as we succeed.”
Eleni Skarveli, Director GNTO UK & Ireland said: “Following a successful summer 2022 period, we are very happy that the demand for Greek holidays by British holidaymakers continues to increase. It is an amazing momentum that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are starting their summer 2023 season from April to sunny Halkidiki and cosmopolitan Rhodes. Travellers will now have a wider spectrum of choices for Greek offers.”
