4th Climbing Festival in the Municipality of Ermionida

Ermionida, a place where nature meets adventure, is preparing to welcome the 4th Climbing Festival, on October 10 and 12. With the backdrop of imposing rocks, lush green paths and views of the blue Argolic Gulf, the climbing areas of the area are transformed for another year into a meeting point for climbers from all over Greece and abroad.

In recent years, Ermionida has established itself as an emerging destination for alternative tourism, ideal for those seeking authentic experiences in nature. The climbing areas have gained international fame through tributes on websites, blogs and magazines of global reach. The Municipality’s goal is to further strengthen this extroversion, placing Ermionida on the global climbing map — not only as a sports spot, but as a comprehensive experience of contact with nature, local hospitality and the cultural identity of the place.

The festival aims to contribute to the promotion of the area and its tourist development, especially during the autumn and winter months. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the terrain of the area through free climbing lessons, but also to participate in outdoor activities such as yoga in nature, hiking, slacklining and other activities, mainly in the Katafyki area, a magnificent natural landscape that is a reason to visit in itself, all seasons of the year.

At the same time, visitors will be able to tour nearby traditional settlements, taste local flavors, discover the cultural heritage of the region and experience the hospitality of the residents, who enthusiastically support every initiative that highlights their place.
