Double racing event in Megalopolis on May 11: Festival Enduro and Theater Run 2025

Megalopolis is getting ready to put on its sneakers and rev up, planning to host two dynamic and completely different events on May 11: the 1st Festival Enduro of Megalopolis and the Megalopolis Theater Run 2025 road race.

The 1st Festival Enduro of Megalopolis is an initiative of the Motor Sports Racing Club (ALMA), in collaboration with the Municipality of Megalopolis. The race will be held both on the motocross track and on the city streets, with the city being transformed into an “action track” for a day. The goal of the event is to stimulate the local market, to inspire young people with a passion for motor sports, but also to create a new identity for Megalopolis as a destination with a wide range of activities.

On the same day, the Megalopolis Theater Run 2025 will also take place, a race with a cultural background and a reference to the timeless value of the Ancient Theater of Megalopolis. The organization – a partnership of the Municipality of Megalopolis, the Region of Peloponnese, and the Chamber of Arcadia – includes 10, 5, and 1 kilometer routes, offering the opportunity to participate to people of all ages and physical conditions. The start and finish will take place in the city’s central square, transforming the urban center into a field of sports and culture.

The two events, although of different nature, send out a common message: Megalopolis has the potential to develop into a destination for activities that combine sports with local identity. The city has a historical imprint, since it was an important city of ancient Arcadia with the largest ancient theater in Greece. Today, it is looking for new ways to connect the past with the present, to highlight its natural and cultural features, and to attract visitors and investments.

At a time when the need for local development is more urgent than ever, this double sporting celebration may be the starting point for a more outgoing, modern, and active Megalopolis.
