Two interesting sporting events are scheduled to take place in Elassona and Larissa in the near future, with the aim of attracting sports enthusiasts, as well as entertaining the residents and visitors of Thessaly.

Ski Mountaineering Race on Mount Olympus in Elassona

In particular, on March 29, the Ski Mountaineering Race on Mount Olympus is scheduled to take place in Elassona, which is under the auspices of the Region of Thessaly and co-organized, among others, by the Hellenic Mountaineering-Climbing Federation.

The aim of the race is to disseminate and promote the sport of Ski Mountaineering and to promote the region of Elassona.

In this direction, the purpose of the Mountaineering-Climbing Federation is to establish the race and hold it every two years, aiming to attract athletes and spectators, both from Greece and abroad.

This is an event of wide appeal that is expected to attract athletes and friends of the sport, contributing to the tourist, cultural and athletic promotion and economic development of the Elassona region, and not only, since spectators and athletes are expected from all parts of Greece.

Cycling Hellas Junior MTB Race in Larissa

In parallel, on April 6 in Larissa, the 4th Cycling Hellas Junior MTB Race is scheduled to take place, which is co-organized by PAS PINEIOS, among others.

The cycling event is taking place for the fourth consecutive year and aims to cultivate the sport of cycling. The competition program includes competitions for young people and popular competitions for primary and secondary school students, while several participants are expected from various regions of the country, which will contribute to the promotion of the region and the attraction of fans of the sport.

The aim of the competition is to develop and promote the sport, to upgrade the quality of life in urban areas through the use of bicycles, as well as to stimulate tourism in the Larissa region.
