Introducing Paros to the British public

The alternative possibilities that Paros offers to visitors, without being crowded, are presented in a special tribute by the British “Express”. The composition of the tribute was undertaken by the creator of travel content Dorota Urbaniak, who visited the island. Recently, as mentioned in the publication, she also presented Paros in a video on TikTok.

The travel enthusiast pointed out that “not all Greek islands are crowded in the summer”. She showed how quiet Paros was from morning to evening one day during her visit and wrote:

“Paros is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea, best known for its beaches and traditional villages. It is located in the center of the Cyclades and has many golden sandy beaches, lush mountains, and villages on the tops of cliffs. The two main villages are Parikia and Naoussa, which are “at the heart of the island’s nightlife.” These villages are filled with “traditional tavernas, upscale restaurants, and sophisticated bars.” She adds that “tourists who aren’t fans of loud music can wander to the quiet villages of Lefkes and Marpissa.”

Dorota’s TikTok video includes clips of Paros from 9 am to 8 pm “highlighting how peaceful and quiet the island is as she strolls the streets and relaxes on a sandy beach,” the British outlet notes. She also showcased the whitewashed buildings, a restaurant with tables outside by the sea, and beautiful, vibrant flowers. She captioned her TikTok post: “I’m just saying… not all Greek islands are busy in the summer.” Express adds:

“Paros is a top destination for water sports, such as windsurfing and kitesurfing, as it has ideal wind conditions, thanks to the Meltemi, the strong, dry, northerly winds that blow across the Aegean Sea during the summer months. The island is easily accessible by plane from Athens International Airport and by ferry from the ports of Athens (Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio), Mykonos, Santorini, and many other Cyclades islands.”

In the comments section of her TikTok video, Dorota reiterated that “not all Greek islands are crowded” and urged her followers to “choose wisely.” One user commented: “I need to go as soon as possible,” and another described Paros as “amazing.”

Paros is also chosen by the award-winning travel guide “Cutlure Trip”, which is mainly aimed at the American and British public and, after praising the island for its peaceful environment, adds: “Walk among fuchsia bougainvillea along the narrow streets of the town of Naoussa and join the crowds dancing in the nightclubs. In the village of Lefkes you can take a perfect photo for Instagram. Be sure to visit Panagia Ekatontapyliani, a magnificent Byzantine stone church in the port of Parikia, and swim in the clear waters of Kolymbithres beach, which is framed by impressive granite rocks.”
