New Dolce by Wyndham hotel in Sicily

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened the doors of Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa in Sicily.

The hotel is set amidst fragrant citrus groves just outside Syracuse, a city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in mythology and Baroque beauty. The 102-room complex, once a Roman villa, then a 9th-century monastery and later a Sicilian Masseria, is a peaceful haven where ancient stones meet olive groves and centuries of history have been lovingly restored into a unique, 4-star Italian destination.

An Italian story revived for today’s traveler

Offering 83 rooms, 14 junior suites, and 5 king suites, each designed to reflect the building’s rich history, Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa boasts a wide range of amenities, including an 18-hole, par-71 golf course spread over 900 acres, amidst lush orange and lemon groves. There is also a fitness center and the spacious Monasteri Spa, where guests can enjoy a selection of beauty and wellness treatments, two swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, a steam room, sauna, and hot tub.

At LE CERAMICHE, the hotel’s flagship restaurant, Sicilian chef Mirko Previtera, who has trained in some of the world’s leading Michelin-starred kitchens (including the globally acclaimed The Fat Duck in Bray, UK, and the renowned Les Prés d’Eugénie in France), brings his deep local roots and culinary expertise to the table. Guests can expect seasonal ingredients, bold Mediterranean flavors, and dishes that blend nostalgia with modernity. Dining is served indoors or outdoors under the stars.

Dimitris Manikis, President, Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “Dolce by Wyndham is more than just a hotel brand. Its DNA is rooted in beauty, culture, and connection, and there is no better place to flourish than in Italy, the homeland of its name and spirit. Sicily’s timeless charm makes it the ideal setting for travelers seeking authenticity and a sense of place. As global demand for travel of substance and experience grows, Dolce continues to respond, offering owners an engaging lifestyle brand with strong commercial potential. It is part of the Wyndham Advantage: size, support and a brand that stands out in the evolving world of meaningful travel.”

For his part, Mr. Alberto Reggidori, CEO of All In Italia Hotels & Resorts, said: “In Italy we say 'Dove c’è il cuore, lì è casa' - 'Where the heart is, there is home”. With Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa, we have created more than just a resort - we have created a place where the spirit of Sicily lives in every detail. It’s about sensation, taste, and freedom, and we are proud to welcome guests to a truly unforgettable experience of Italian life. Wyndham shares our passion for hospitality and brings with it the globally recognized Dolce brand, making them the ideal partner to further develop our presence in Italy.”

The Gateway to the Magic of Sicily

The second Dolce to open in Italy brings the signature blend of refined lifestyle, cultural immersion, and sensual indulgence to one of the country’s most enchanting regions. Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa is not only an ideal destination for leisure travelers, but also caters to business and event needs, with two large meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people. The property also features an elegant banquet hall with panoramic views of the expansive gardens and golf course.

Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa’s location is ideal for exploring Sicily, with easy access to white-sand beaches, local gastronomic markets, and historic sites such as the Archaeological Park of Naples and the 7th-century Syracuse Cathedral, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The development of the Dolce brand

The Dolce by Wyndham brand has gained significant momentum in recent years in the EMEA region, with a presence in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. With 12 hotels in the region and more to follow, the brand opens up exciting prospects for investors looking to become part of a carefully selected collection of unique and inspiring destinations, based on family values, signature cuisine, and leading conference and event services.

Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa Monasteri Golf & Spa brings Wyndham’s rapidly growing portfolio of 7 properties and 5 brands in Italy: Dolce, Wyndham Garden, Ramada, Trademark Collection, and Registry Collection. The hotel is part of a broader, non-exclusive development agreement between Wyndham and All In Italia Hotels & Resorts to create 20 hotels in key destinations across Italy over the next 10 years.
