Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company with 25 global brands and approximately 9,300 hotels, continued its dynamic growth in Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa (EMEA) in 2024.

Specifically, the company signed 83 new contracts and opened more than 50 hotels, adding over 6,400 rooms and strengthening its presence in key markets, such as France, India, Spain, Turkey, and Portugal.

Growth in the region contributed to Wyndham’s global growth portfolio, growing 5% year-over-year to a record 252,000 rooms. EMEA also saw strong revenue per available room (RevPAR) growth of 10% in 2024. Built on Wyndham’s Owner First™ model, the company continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to its owners and partners. Including last year’s additions, Wyndham now has approximately 680 hotels in the EMEA region, with approximately 93,000 rooms.

Commenting on the development, Dimitris Manikis, President of Europe, Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “Wyndham’s strong momentum in 2024 highlights the strength of our diversified portfolio of brands and growing demand in the region. We continue to strengthen our presence in key markets across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia, and Africa while expanding into high-growth segments such as extended stay and branded residences, as well as establishing ourselves in the mid-range segment. At the same time, our growth in premium hotels, with Dolce by Wyndham expanding across Europe and into new destinations such as France, India, and the UAE, creates exciting opportunities for our business partners. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on creating long-term value by meeting the needs of our travelers and owners.”

Wyndham’s growth in the EMEA region in 2024 reflects the company’s strategic expansion in key markets, leveraging strong brand recognition and growing demand for differentiated options. As international tourist arrivals are expected to increase in 2025, the company remains committed to strengthening its presence in high-potential destinations.

2024 Growth Highlights:

Strengthening Leading Presence in Turkey

As the largest international hotel company in Turkey, with approximately 120 properties in more than 40 cities, Wyndham and its hotels are well-positioned to benefit from the projected influx of more than 70 million international visitors in 2025. Key openings in 2024 include:

Meeting demand for mid-range accommodations with Ramada Encore

The Ramada Encore by Wyndham brand saw further expansion in 2024, reaffirming Wyndham’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for mid-range accommodations in the EMEA region.

Major openings in 2024 include:

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Konya Karatay: A contemporary city-center hotel and Wyndham’s newest addition to Turkey.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Rajbagh Srinagar: An elegant and tranquil retreat on the banks of the Jhelum River. Ramada Encore by Wyndham Bhiwadi Phool Bagh Chowk: Within walking distance of the vibrant industrial hub of Phool Bagh Chowk.
Ramada Encore by Wyndham Viramgam: A modern, fully-equipped hotel in the heart of Ahmedabad, India.

Dolce by Wyndham Strengthens with New Premium Options

A leader in the upscale category and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment, Dolce by Wyndham now has 12 hotels in the region, playing a key role in Wyndham’s growing premium portfolio. Major openings in 2024 include Dolce by Wyndham Barcelona Resort, a stunning golf resort in the heart of the Penedès wine region, and Dolce by Wyndham Çeşme Alaçatı, the first Dolce resort in Turkey.

In addition to the above openings, Wyndham also made significant new deals in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region in 2024.

Among the most significant deals, the following are:

Expansion into India with Microtel

In partnership with NILE Hospitality, Wyndham will introduce the Microtel by Wyndham brand in India in 2025, with the first hotels opening this year, and aiming to create a total of 40 Microtel hotels by 2031.

Strengthening Wyndham’s presence in Portugal

Reinforcing its commitment to Portugal’s rapidly growing tourism sector, Wyndham is working with The Lakhani Group to bring several new hotels to the country under different Wyndham brands, including Wyndham Garden Alentejo Alcácer do Sal, Wyndham Residences Lisbon Loures, and L Hotels Fátima Trademark Collection by Wyndham. The hotels are expected to open in 2025.

Growth in Branded Residences

Further strengthening its portfolio of branded residences, Wyndham is partnering with IDILIQ Hotels & Resorts to introduce Wyndham Grand La Cala Golf Residences on the Costa del Sol in April 2026.

In Greece

In addition, in the Mediterranean and specifically in Greece, the company is partnering with DKG Development for the first Wyndham Residences in Piraeus, which is expected to welcome its first guests in December 2025, as well as with Oikos Property Developments for the first Ramada Residences by Wyndham in Halkidiki, which will open in May 2026.

Wyndham’s continued growth in the EMEA region is fueled by Wyndham Advantage, a combination of world-class marketing, distribution, and other resources designed to offer hoteliers a successful track record. With more than $325 million invested in innovative technologies over the past six years, Wyndham partners have access to industry-leading technology from leading providers, including advanced hotel management systems, as well as a growing Wyndham Rewards membership base of approximately 114 million registered members worldwide.
