Hyatt: Expands in Tenerife with €120 Million Investment

Hyatt Hotels & Resorts has acquired three hotels in Tenerife from investment firm Blantyre Capital for €120 million (€109,700 per room). These are the four-star Alua Atlántico Golf Resort (454 rooms), Alua Tenerife (438 rooms), and Alua Soul Orotava Valley (202 rooms). Blantyre acquired the properties in 2020, investing an additional €20m in renovations.

Britannia Hotels: Acquisition of Crowne Plaza Felbridge in the UK

German Plaza Hotel Group has acquired the 180-room Ibis Budget Hamburg Altona from Union Investment. The hotel is part of a 10,315 sq m mixed-use development and is located 3 km from the Hamburg Messe exhibition centre.

Catalonia Hotels: Strategic expansion in Barcelona

Catalonia Hotels & Resorts has acquired the four-star Hesperia Barcelona Del Mar (84 rooms) from Meridia Capital for €25.3 million (€301,200 per room) or €27.7 million with the associated debt. The transaction generates a profit of €10.8 million for Meridia. The Hesperia is located in the coastal zone of Barcelona’s 22@ district, an urban regeneration project in the former industrial area of ​​Poblenou and its transformation into a technology and innovation district of the city. CapMan Real Estate: Big deal in Scandinavian hotels
