The HolidayCheck Award Process:

There are strict rules in place for presenting the Award: to even come into consideration for this sought-after accolade, a hotel must have collected at least 50 reviews from its guests during a period of twelve months (December 1st, 2015 until November 30th, 2016). In addition, the accommodations must have been recommended by at least 90% of its former guests. Another tough hurdle that the hotels have to face are the HolidayCheck “Suns”, which holidaymakers use when reviewing hotel details like the room, location, surroundings, service, and restaurant facilities. The scale ranges from a minimum of 1 (poor) to a maximum of 6 (very good); potential Award hotels must have achieved at least 5 “Suns”.

In addition, a hotel must not have used manipulation to go against the portal’s Code of Conduct. The rules in the Code define under which conditions HolidayCheck considers a review to be an active guest opinion. In extreme contraventions of the Code of Conduct, HolidayCheck reserves the right to remove and recall current accolades.
