Taste of Loutraki 2025: Corinth at the forefront of culinary tourism

The 4th Taste of Loutraki – The Corinthian Food Festival, which took place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, in the Municipality of Loutraki – Perachora – Agioi Theodoroi, was completed with great success. The festival highlighted the gastronomic identity and cultural wealth of Corinth, attracting tourism professionals, chefs, bartenders, and a large number of visitors.

The opening ceremony, in the courtyard of AEDIK, was marked by the awarding of the title "Culinary Capital" to Loutraki by the international organization World Food Travel Association, with the president of the Association of Foodies, Mr. Yannis Kontis, receiving the relevant certification. It is the first time that a city in Greece has received this distinction, confirming the potential of Loutraki in gastronomic tourism.

The festival began on board, with a unique gastronomic experience on the ANNA II ship, during the passage of the Corinth Canal, with music, local flavors, and a festive atmosphere.

The culinary presentations of chefs Takis Diamantopoulos and Kostas Sakoulis stood out, who presented recipes with authentic products of Corinth. Bartenders Dimitris Alexandris and Nikos Lalos impressed with cocktails inspired by the culinary tradition of the region, while Ktima Manolaki and Pietris Catering offered harmonious culinary experiences.

At the same time, a familiarization trip (fam trip) was held with the participation of journalists and travel agents from Athens and Thessaloniki. Their program included visits to local businesses, cultural attractions, and wellness facilities, such as the Loutraki Thermal Spa, Markellos Olive with a blind olive oil tasting, and the Holy Cross Monastery in Mapsos, where guests enjoyed monastic flavors.

The festival culminated at Lake Vouliagmeni in Perachora, at Ypanema Beach Bar, with live cooking by chef Ioannis Stefis and the Experience Perachora Corinthia team, in front of an audience that enjoyed flavors, interviews, and TV connections against the backdrop of the unique landscape.

Taste of Loutraki was accompanied by extensive communication in local and national media, social media campaigns, a special website, and an electronic application with the festival’s “taste map”, offering the public a complete experience of discovering Corinthian gastronomy.
