Estiatorio Milos: This stylish Greek restaurant located on the third level of Cosmo hotel, serves fresh seafood in a Mediterranean-style whitewashed setting and a beautiful view overlooking City Center. With a $29 lunch special for a 3 course meal at an upscale restaurant, the high calibre of food, service and atmosphere, makes it a real treat. The Grilled Octopus with Santorini Fava is so tender, the octopus literally melts in your mouth and sits on a bed of delicious puréed Java. And for lobster lovers, there is a fantastic lobster pasta-tail, which is a claw and knuckle meat of a whole lobster on top of a bed of pasta dressed in a bright, sweet, acidic tomato sauce, it makes your stomach rumble just reading about it. This place is a must in Las Vegas!

Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill: No other place in Las Vegas can beat the way this place grills their meat. Customers rave that Gyros meat is always grilled to perfection. Another stand out on the menu is the feta fries, which are super good served with the secret fry sauce, which is deliciously irresistible. With a few locations around Las Vegas, you would always be in close proximity to a Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill, and as hard as you try to resist the urge to eat here, trust me, it won’t work!

Meraki Greek Grill: This restaurant prides itself on serving fresh tasty Mediterranean food, with huge portion sizing, no matter what you order on the menu, which is why it is a very popular spot. The service is also amazing and you can tell it’s a family run business, where they treat you like you are a part of it by being friendly and helpful and patient. Dessert is definitely the best part of the meal though, so you have to make sure you leave enough room, although as the saying goes dessert doesn’t go to the stomach, it goes straight to the heart. The Baklava ice-cream has the perfect mixture of vanilla ice cream with crunchy walnuts, layered phyllo, and honey syrup, freshly made as the phyllo isn’t soggy. It would be a shame not to mention their rice pudding also- creamy, perfectly sweet, and flavoured with cinnamon and vanilla, too much goodness to handle.

The Great Greek: From their traditional dishes like Souvlaki (chicken or steak), the Gyros, or their modern options like feta fries, and the Athenian burger, this place is always packed! Come hungry, leave full and satisfied with so many mouth drooling options on the menu to choose from. Feta Fries, a gold mine waiting to be tasted by everyone. The Feta fries with lemon are a must because they are the best fries you will taste with all that yummy melted cheese all over them. You will be overwhelmed by their extensive menu that also includes quick bites like Spanakopita, Tiropita and a delicious Baklava!

Yassou Greek Grill Café: This family run business recreates the experience of eating the most delicious, homemade Greek food at an affordable price, leaving their loyal customers coming back for more. Not to mention, the moment you walk in this place, you’ll notice the Greek artwork and typical blue and white motif that is all over the eatery. There is a cool story along the wall about the history of the restaurant, while Greek music played in the background flows throughout the open kitchen, which provides a cool interaction between the chefs and customers. Delivering amazing healthy mediterranean food, with popular dishes- the Greek salad, Dolmades, Spanakopita and Lemon Chicken Pita, Yassou never fails.

Market Grille Cafe: This cafe has locals returning every week with their delicious food and is a must when in Las Vegas. Owner Rhonda, is a second generation Greek from the island of Ikaria and together with her husband and son, they bring authentic, unique, homemade dishes. Their signature dish is the Pomegranate Chicken, unusual and wonderful, as the chicken falls apart with the fork alone and the rice is super tasty. Another menu stand out is the eggplant Parmesan, which customers say is to die for, as well as the cannoli which is a sweet treat to end the meal.

Annual Greek Festival of Las Vegas

If you’re Hellene or Philhellene, this is the event for you. The Las Vegas Greek Food Festival is an annual three-night event at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, which according to National Geographic is the best food festival in the State of Nevada. The entry fee shouldn’t deter visitors away, as they would only miss out on so much, including Greek music from live bands, homemade, fresh food, Greek dancing and the amazing atmosphere that surrounds.
