2 out of 5 Europeans in Greece found employment in tourism in MayTourism is among the most robust industries in Greece and greatly supports employment

One in five (or 18.2%) insured employees in Greece in May 2017 (374.276 people) found employment in tourism, and out of those 16%  (or 292.224)  were Greeks, according to official EFKA figures.

Ragarding nationals from other member states of the European Union, 40% (or 18,636 employees) were employed in hotels and restaurants.
