AP: Giannis Antetokounmpo buys luxury villas at Peloponnesian resort in Greece

Αssociated Press reports that NBA superstar for the Milwaukee Bucks league champions Giannis Antetokounmpo has bought two villas at a luxury resort in Greece's Peloponnese.

He can afford it. In 2020 he signed a five-year $228 million extension on his contract but the money didn't go to his head as he powered the Bucks to the NBA title and won the tourney MVP award for it with a performance for the ages.

The newspaper Proto Thema said the villas, which range in price from 1.25-1.8 million euros ($1.45-$2.09 million) are in the new Rolling Greens neighborhood of Messinia. Messinia is located in the southwestern part of the region.

The 26-year-old super-duper star had visited the Costa Navarino resort in early September with his brother and teammate, Thanasis, while he had taken a vacation there with his family in 2018.

The paper said all 43 villas in the area have already been sold, are under construction and their delivery to buyers is estimated to take place in the first quarter of 2023. with luxury resorts and units going fast all around Greece.

He'll be able to relax there as all the villas have private pools and gardens and have plots from 700-1300 square meters (7535-13,993 square feet) with surface areas from 235-295 square meters (2530-3175 square feet) with three or four bedrooms on one level and a basement, the report also said.
