Christmas Season brings celebration at Greek School of Plato in Brooklyn, New York

Christmas was celebrated at the Greek School of Plato in Brooklyn on Thursday, December 21. The students presented the customs and traditions of Greece, sang traditional carols, and declared the importance of winter’s holy days, spreading pride to parents and grandparents.

In his greeting message, the principal, Petros Fourniotis, thanked the guests who honored the celebration with their presence, congratulated the teachers and students for their dedication and efforts, and wished for 2024 to be a year full of progress and prosperity. “On these holy days, I feel grateful not only for my family and friends but for the entire family of Plato School.”

The president of the School’s board of directors, Spiridon Geroulanos, expressed through The National Herald the joy and pride of everyone for the progress of the school and congratulated parents, teachers, the principal, the Parents’ Association, and the Parish Council, who are fighting, as he said, for Hellenism.

The president of the School Board and vice president of the Board of Directors, Kostas Karkas, stated that “everyone wants to visit New York these days to experience up close the magic of Christmas that this city offers.
