Greece records 100,421 new Covid-19 cases and 314 fatalities for August 1-7A total of 120 hospital patients were on ventilators on August 7. Their median age is 70 years and 95.0 pct have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over

Greece confirmed 100,421 new coronavirus cases in the week of August 1-7, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said in its weekly statistics report on Tuesday, ANA reports. 

There are also 314 deaths from Covid-19 registered in the August 1-7 week, or 30 deaths per 1 mln people (weekly change: -18%), bringing the total of pandemic victims since the pandemic began to 31,722. Of the people who died, 95.9% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or above.
