FM: Economic diplomacy has proved valuable in these difficult timesAdditional arrivals of flights with the necessary medical material have already been planned and will continue in April

The foreign ministry's General Secretariat for Openness is working hard to boost the supply of essential medical materials to hospitals and the country's public health system, Secretary-General Grigoris Dimitriadis said in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) released on Friday.

The next scheduled flights have been leased by Greece's Public Power Corporation (PPC) to bring personal protective equipment, such as masks, safety glasses, gowns, etc., and are scheduled to arrive on Sunday, April 5, and next Tuesday, April 7. More Aegean flights have been scheduled for next week, one from Shanghai and another three from Tianjin.

Significant aid in achieving the goal of securing adequate supplies of these sought-after materials was given by Greece's ambassadors abroad, said the Secretary-General for Openness, highlighting the significant contribution of the envoys to countries such as the United Arab Emirates, China, India, Mexico, Sweden, and Sweden, the US and others. Particularly for the first two countries, he noted that the systematic work done over the past months on economic diplomacy to attract investment and promote exports had proved valuable, as relationships of trust have been built that were needed during these difficult times and will also bring further results in the future.
