Greek piano prodigy gives viral concert at Rome INternational Airport

Many compare the Greek piano prodigy Stelios Kerasidis with the great Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, according to greekreporter.com.

Recently, he once again garnered applause when he gave a concert at Rome airport that went viral across all social media platforms.

At just ten years old, the pianist rates as one of the Top 100 greatest talents in the world at the recent Global Child Prodigy Awards. This is not the first time Kerasidis, who has been playing piano since he was three years of age, has received note-worthy attention for his outstanding musical ability. His recognition at this year’s Giuseppe Sciacca International Awards in Italy was a very special moment for the young pianist. Together with his many other prizes, he has established a bright legacy for his musical future.

The airport in Rome is in frenzy over Kerasidis
A few days ago after his recognition at the prestigious Giuseppe Sciacca International Awards, Stelios Kerasidis was at the airport in Rome, where he discovered a piano inside the airport lounge. The 9-year-old musician decided to play in order to “see what will happen”.  The results vindicated him as expected and the video went viral on Facebook and TikTok.

According to his Facebook page, which his parents run, Stelios then discovered a second piano a short time later and wreaked ”EVEN more havoc in the main hall’’. Evidently, he blew away the passers-by who heard him and went into a frenzy during his performance.

The prodigy who started at the age of three
Kerasidis started playing piano at three when he took the first official lesson from his father, a pianist and music teacher. It was not long before the teachers and the music world recognized the boy’s talent. By the age of 5, he was performing in public and at Carnegie Hall at six. Ever since Kerasidis has been composing his own music to critical acclaim.
