The Madame Tussauds Istanbul opening in December 2016 will be located at the Grand Pera building. The wax museum will feature more than 60 famous figures including historical and cultural icons as well as artists, sports stars and politicians from the past and the present.

Madame Tussauds Istanbul Group General Director Sarper Hilmi Suner said, "We are very excited to open a Madame Tussauds Museum in Turkey, a country which sits at the crossroads between East and West, Europe and Asia. By establishing a unique and entertaining center with wax sculptures of world-famous figures, we will breathe additional life into the Turkish entertainment sector," adding that Madame Tussauds Istanbul will also establish a section featuring milestones of the past to attract visitors to the magical city of Istanbul as well as local museum-goers.
