Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens redevelopment in full swingAn international luxury destination is reborn by open its doors in March 2019

Athens, June 19th 2018 – In preparation of the rebirth of a world-class luxury destination, the redevelopment works in Astir are being completed. With a total capital investment of over €650mn, Astir constitutes the largest tourist investment in Greece, currently in progress and it includes the hotel’s total renovation and upgrade, the development of up to 13 luxury villas, the upgrade of the marina and the beach.

In this context, Mr. Stelios Koutsivitis, CEO of Astir Palace Vouliagmeni S.A, highlights: “Our vision is to re-establish Astir as an international luxury destination in the wider Mediterranean region, offering a wide range of world class experiences.

The construction works of the new Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens will be completed within the next few months for opening in March 2019. 

In addition to the introduction of the new hotel facilities and services, the collaboration with premium culinary, entertainment & high-end retail brands with presence in other luxury destinations, will reinforce the cosmopolitan identity of Astir, whilst key cultural partnerships will promote the country’s rich heritage and legacy. 

By summer 2019 Astir Beach will have undergone a complete renovation, introducing new facilities and advanced services, with the aim to enrich its iconic character and set new standards. The upgrade of the Astir Marina constitutes another major pillar of the property’s redevelopment and will elevate its position in line with other landmark marinas in the wider Mediterranean region. The plan also includes the development of up to 13 seafront luxury private villas completing the evolution of the destination.  

Currently guests can have a glimpse of what they will fully experience in 2019 with the upgraded concept of Astir Beach and Matsuhisa Athens. The beach is fully operational offering additional services and the newly introduced Nice N Easy Seaside restaurant whilst the recently renovated Matsuhisa Athens has opened its doors with the launch of the new infinity bar UMI.
