MKG Mediterranean HIT Report: Mixed picture on hotel performance in November
Reduction in occupancy, average room rate and revenue per available room was recorded in Greek hotels during November, according to the MKG Mediterranean HIT Report (Hotel Industry Trends).
The report is published exclusively on Tornos News (www.tornosnews.gr) and can be downloaded free of charge.
Regarding the 12 month period between November 2014 and November 2015, the average room rate and revenue per available room in Greek hotels recorded an increase of 5.2% and 3.6% respectively.
In other Mediterranean destinations, the picture is mixed, with revenue per available room also showing a decrease in Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey and Tynisia. Yet, over a 12-month period, almost all destinations and hotel sizes attained improved performance.
The report records the changes in occupancy, average price and revenue per available room regarding hotels located in Greece, France, Croatia, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Turkey and Tunisia.
